What is included in my free trial?

Your Free Trial gets you access to all the great online postage and shipping features of pbSmartPostage for 30 days. You can print online postage stamps and shipping labels as well as get access to USPS® discounts and Free Delivery Confirmation™ when shipping.

Is there an additional fee based on how much postage I use?

No. You pay face value for USPS postage for stamps and shipping.

How does pbSmartPostage save me money?

The pbSmartPostage service has access to discount USPS postage rates under the USPS Commercial Based Pricing program. These rates are not available at your local Post Office. These savings are approximately 5% on average. You also get Free Delivery Confirmation with any Priority Mail®.

If you have one of our integrated digital postal scales, you can weigh your envelope or package and print exact postage every time and do not need to add more postage "just to be safe". Studies have shown that by eliminating the guess-work, you can save up to 20% on your postage costs.

Can I use my existing printer with pbSmartPostage?

Yes. You can use a Windows compatible laser or inkjet printer to print shipping labels on 8.5"x 11" plain paper or you can print shipping labels on the Datamax 4" Thermal Label printer. You can also print postage stamps using your own printer with a sheet of stamps (pbSmartPostage Printable Postage Sheets required) or the Brother QL-570 printer. Both the Datamax and Brother printers along with supplies are available in the pbSmartPostage online postage store.

When printing directly on an envelope, do I need to print the return and destination addresses?

You have the option of not printing the return or destination address. This gives you the flexibility to print on an envelope with a preprinted return address or when you are using a windowed envelope and have the destination address on the letter in the envelope.

Can I print postage onto plain paper with pbSmartPostage?

Yes, you can print on plain paper for shipping labels only. You will need to use tape or glue to apply the plain paper label to the package. To print self-adhesive stamps, you will need the pbSmartPostage Printable Postage sheets or the Brother QL-570 printer. To print self adhesive shipping labels you will need the Datamax 4" Thermal Label printer. Printers and Postage Sheets are available in the pbSmartPostage online postage store.

What supplies do I need with pbSmartPostage?

No supplies are needed as you can print postage stamps directly on an envelope or print a shipping label onto plain paper. We also provide you with your initial supply of Printable Postage sheets in your welcome kit to help you get started.

Are there optional postal scales that work with pbSmartPostage?

You have the option of adding several postage scales to connect to your computer to weigh letters and packages. At the pbSmartPostage online postage store you can choose from a 5, 10, 30 or 70 lb scale. You can find label printers to print self-adhesive stamps or shipping labels at the store as well.

Does pbSmartPostage verify my return address prior to creating the shipping label?

Yes, it verifies your address once and then knows it's accurate and won't ask you again.

Does pbSmartPostage verify the destination address prior to printing on an envelope or creating the shipping label?

Yes, pbSmartPostage will verify the destination address. If there are any changes made it will update your address book for you so that the next time you use that address it will be accurate and not need to be verified.

How is pbSmartPostage different than other PC Postage providers?
